Sun set to shine for Birmingham Publicity Association's summer vibes event
The first summer social event for the Birmingham Publicity Association is set to be held for the first time in three years.
The Big and Balmy Summer BBQ will take place at The Button Factory on Thursday, July 14, and is set to raise hundreds of pounds for its chosen charity.
Members, and non-members of the BPA are being invited to attend the event, running from 6.30 until 11.30pm where they can enjoy networking alongside drinks, burgers and summer vibes.
Steve Price, Co-Chair of the BPA said it would be a great time to get back into the media community and re-connect with each other.
“We were thrilled so many turned up to our Christmas event at the Grand in December after such a long hiatus to enjoy being able to see each other once again. For us to also be able to present Acorns Children's Hospital with a cheque for £22,500 which was raised over our three year partnership with them was also an extra special moment for us.
“Our summer event is our chance mid-year to once again get together with friends, colleagues and those well-known faces from within our industry so we are able to reconnect, have fun, network and of course raise money for such an important cause, which this year is Winston’s Wish, so we are hoping that people will dig deep to raise some more.”
It was announced earlier this year that the BPA was supporting Winston’s Wish, a charity which supports children and young people after the death of someone close to them.
Tickets for the Summer event are on sale now via this link, and cost £20 for members and £25 for non-members, with all proceeds going to charity. supports children and young people after the death of someone close to them.
The BPA has existed since the 1930s, supporting the media and creative industries in the region, while raising money for key charities that its members wish to support. Its members include global organisations to sole traders, graduate trainees right up to CEOs and MDs, media owners and agencies, advertising and marketing agencies, digital agencies, PR agencies and freelancers.
Membership for the BPA starts from only £40 for individuals and £100 for groups.
